My first stage role was a porcupine in my middle school's production of The Wind in the Willows. My mom made a great costume with pipe cleaners for spines. While my parents thought I might be too shy, I surprised them by standing in front of the chorus of animals, arms wide and singing my heart out! I adored performing back then, and I still love being a part of a well-told story that moves people, connecting us all through raw human emotions.
I studied theatre at the University of Michigan's Residential College, completed an apprenticeship at The Purple Rose Theatre Co., and then dove into acting and designing sound for many southeast Michigan theatre companies; both professional and non-union houses. My repertoire now also includes voiceover, film, and audiobooks. In my spare time, I make beaded jewelry, explore the outdoors with my husband, and cuddle my cats.
